BRIEF HISTORY:
St. Paul’s Senior High School was founded on 3rd February, 1958, by the Catholic Church under the
patronage of Most Reverend Anthony Konings, Bishop of then Keta Diocese. It is a Government
Assisted Senior High School under the management of Catholic Education Unit, and has Most Rev.
Gabriel Edoe Kumordji S.V.D, the Bishop of Keta-Akatsi Diocese as its Patron. St. Paul’s Senior
High School, is a Boy’s School. It is located in the Ketu South Municipality, Volta Region. It also has
a Minor Seminary.

VISION STATEMENT:
“To promote relevant education to the student of St. Paul’s Senior High School and Minor Seminary to
enable students to develop their mental, moral, culture and physical potentials so that they can excel in
their chosen carriers and live meaningful lives and to contribute positively towards societal

Kpedze Senior High School was established on the 12th of November 1962, in Kpedze, Volta Region, found on the Kpedze - Dodome road. We run programmes such as; General Science, General Arts, Agric Science, Business, Visual Arts and Home Economics. The School is situated on an acreage of 198. 

The staff population is 150. We are both boarding and day school.

Our vision is to be the number one second cycle school in the Ho-West District and among the top 10 in the Volta Region.

GREAT ABAST WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1988 AND ABSORBED INTO THE PUBLIC SYSTEM IN 1991.  Avatime Senior High School (AVASEC) was established by the late Mr. Justus Kofi Boafo Adzotor and named Christ College, in 1966, with the Motto: ‘FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM’.  It is a co-educational institution.  It is located at Vane, in the Avatime Traditional Area of the Ho – West District in the Volta Region.

The existing infrastructural facilities were constructed by the people themselves.  Initially the School was run as a Private Community School until it was absorbed into the public system of Education in 1981.

From its establishment in 1966, till now, the school has achieved great success in Academic, Sports, Moral and Social Education, thus making it a force to reckon with as far as human resource development in the Avatime Traditional Area and the nation as a whole is concern.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF BIAKOYE COMMUNITY SENIOR SCHOOL

Biakoye Community Senior High School formally Biakoye Community Senior High due to the boarding status granted it in April, 2021 is the youngest Second Cycle School located at Nkonya-Wurupong in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region of Ghana. The school was established by the Chiefs and Elders of Nkonya -Wurupong Traditional Area led by the paramount chief Nana Kwadwo Asiakwah II, on a sixty (60) acre plot of land with the aim of providing quality education to the girl child, by empowering them to acquire employable skills in order to become useful to themselves, their community and the country at large.

In November, 2018, the school was absorbed into the Ghana Education Service and appeared on the list of thirteen (13) government – approved senior high schools to be operational that year. The school which started as Girls school has been in operation since then. Early last year however, directive from Ghana Education Service headquarters indicated that the school operates as a mixed school serving the educational needs of both male and female students in the catchment area hence the granting of the Boarding Status for the Girls only and the Boys as day students.

MISSION AND VISION OF THE SCHOOL

Our Mission is for the school to become a centre of excellence for the training of young students into successful, well balanced, self-confident, futuristic and working adults. To inculcate into the students’ academic, spiritual, humanistic and cultural values which will make them effective role models in their various communities and Ghana as a whole.

Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School (SEWASS) is one of the three (3) Public Senior High Schools in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal of the Western North Region of Ghana. It was established in 1961 as one of the Ghana Education Trust (GET) schools. The school currently has a population of about 2500 students.

Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School is situated in the Western North Region and is about 4 kilometers from Sefwi Wiawso, the Western North Regional capital.

Sefwi-Wiawso SHS has a vision of becoming a center for providing effective teaching and learning to our learners to become useful members of the global society.

Sefwi-Wiawso SHS mission therefore is to provide quality high school education to post Junior High School graduates from all over the country.

Amuana Praso SHS was established in 2014 as a private community day senior High school. It was absorbed by Government in 2019. It currently runs four courses, General Arts, Home Economics, Visual Art and Business.

BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE SCHOOL

Mepe St. Kizito Senior High Technical School was founded as a Community Technical Institute to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Mepe Roman Catholic Church and Schools which was celebrated in August 1980 with the assistance of His Lordship Most Rev. Dominic Andoh, the then Bishop of the Accra Diocese and some prominent citizens of Mepe Traditional Area, including the Late Togbe Kwao Anipati IV; the Paramount Chief of the area, Mr. Samuel Kingsley Glah and Dr. Robert Kwao Glah.

The institution was opened on the 18^th of October, 1980 as Mepe Technical Institute

Rev. Fr. Charles Ebb S. V.D. blessed the people and the grounds.

The initial enrolment of the school stood at twenty – four (24) students.

Mr. J.E.A. Adjaklo; the then Headmaster of Sogakope Secondary School was seconded to the institute by the Ghana Education Service to take charge as the founding Principal.

The institute was run as a private community venture until January, 1993 when it became Mepe St. Kizito Secondary Technical School under the Ghana Education Service.

The vision of the school is to prepare students in cognizance of the Catholic principle of excellence through the effort of well trained, motivated and committed staff to maximize student potentials for tertiary education and job training to meet national aspirations.

Tongor Senior High Technical School, established in the year 2007. TST is a government-assisted Day/Boarding second cycle school located in Tongor Tsanakpe in South Dayi District in the Volta Region. TST is a mixed school and offers the following programmes: General Arts, General Science, Agriculture Science, Home Economics, Business, Technical and Visual Arts.

The school has a conducive atmosphere for both curricular and co-curricular activities and it is well equipped with modern facilities and dedicated staff.

Direction: The school is located about 22km from Asikuma junction off the Atimpoku-Ho road to Dzemeni.

Afadjato Senior High Technical School is a co-educational institution founded in January 1987 as a
Community Secondary Technical School occupying the premises of the erstwhile continuation school.
The school is located at Gbledi-Gbogame in the Hohoe Municipality of Volta Region. It is just about
300 meters from the foot of the Highest Mountain in Ghana, thus Afadjato. The school offers five (5)
Academic Programs namely;

Klistech is a mixed school of boarding and day status, located in a serene environment at Klikor-Satsimadza in the KETU SOUTH municipality of Ghana along the Accra-Aflao main road about 130km from Accra.

The school was established in 1992, through the initiative of the chiefs and people of the Anomabo traditional area, and named after an illustrious son of the land, Dr. Emmanuel Kwegyir Aggrey.

Brief Description About the school; Volta Technical Institute is located in MATSE in Ho Municipality in the Volta Region of Ghana. The school is 1.5 Km from the Matse Township along the Ho Dzolokpuita Trunk Road. 

The preparation to establish the school started in September 2013 under the auspices of Chiefs and the good people of Matse-Dzobi, through the hard work of a Planning Committee made up of prominent Natives of Matse both home and abroad. The School officially started on February 3rd, 2014 with eight (8) students and Three (3) Teachers in the premises of FRANDESCO WEST AFRICA LIMITED (FWAL); built as work camp during the first phase of the construction of Ho-Fume Highway.

Teshie Technical Training Centre (TTTC) is a technical/vocational co-educational Institution located at the extreme south-eastern corridor of Teshie, opposite Kofi Annan Peace Keeping Centre and adjacent Family Health Teaching Hospital, covering an area of about 5 acres square in the Ledzokuku –Krowor Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

TTTC was established in 2010 by Electricity Supply Board (ESB), Electric Aid – Ireland through the instrumentality of Mr Chri s M. Adom, a native of Teshie. It was commissioned by the then Vice President and now the sitting president of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on 28^th September, 2010. Stakeholder meeting was held short after the school’s inauguration, and Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC) was tasked to manage the school pending background preparation for the school’s absorption into the mainstream Government Technical /Vocational Institution by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Brief Background

Dabokpa Technical Institute is a public Technical Training Institution located in Tamale, the capital town of the Northern Region of Ghana. The Institute is a public school mandated to deliver quality Technical and Vocational Education. 

 The Institute is also under the Ghana TVET Voucher Project GTVP), coordinated by Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training to deliver Competency Based Training (CBT) to Master Craft Persons and Apprentices from then various trade areas (Welding, Consumer Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Garment Making, etc) in the informal sector.

 Dabokpa Technical Institute again is into partnership with some NGOs namely CAMFED, ActionAid, RAINS, DVLA, etc. to provide Technical Skills Training for the youth.

 Brief History Historical Background

 The present Dabokpa Technical Institute located in the Northern Regional capital Tamale, started as Girls Boarding Middle School in the 1960s. It later became a Home Science Centre for schools around its catchment area. In the late 1970s the Home Science Centre was faced out and a Vocational School established, in conjunction with a World Bank pilot project for Tailors and Dress Makers Association. During this era the student population dwindled due to the facing out of the Home Science programme.

 In the early 1980s the school became a Vocational / Technical Institute, offering programmes such as Needlework and Dressmaking, Carpentry and Joinery, Block laying and Concreting, Fashion and Design.

 In 1998 the school became a fully-fledged Technical Institute, and has since grown in student enrolment till the present enrolment figure of two thousand four hundred and seven. The Institute also trains for the informal sector.

BACKGROUND
St. Theresa’s Vocational Training Institute is a mission school established by the Catholic
Church. The school was established in 1984 in a small fishing community known as
Anyinamae in the Krachi District of the then Volta Region. It was moved to Chinderi in
1986, now in the Krachi Nchumuru District. St. Theresa’s Vocational Training Institute
was absorbed by the National Vocational Institute in 2001 as a public institution under the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relation. In 2022, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) absorbed the Institute into the Ghana TVET Service as a Technical Institute to merit free Technical and Vocational Training. Our programs are practical oriented

Kumawu Technical Institute is one of the Ghana TVET service schools under the Ministry of Education.
